Still in Ellesmere

And it rained and it rained. Surely we are not in August the height of the summer?? After a very lazy morning, still in pyjamas at lunch we went for a walk to the lake, which seems to be the only place where we get a phone signal. As it was raining we had a cup of tea in the tea room. Once the weather cleared up, we carried our on journey to purchase a newspaper and it started to rain again, so we took shelter in a another tea room and had a mug of hot chocolate. We then made our way back to the boat dogging the rain by running from tree to tree and bridge to bridge.

Yesterday we took another bus trip to Oswestry which is a town 20 or so minutes from here. I had already had a picture in my mind of another Market Drayton but I was surprised how nice it was, not over pretty, but very functional with not many high street stores but enough to spend sometime to window shop.

Last night after “book at bedtime” the news mentioned that there was a display of shooting stars which could be seen if the sky was clear. I got up from the cocoon of the bed covers to have a look outside. I waited for a few minutes before a saw a star flowing across the sky, sadly I only saw the one but I was pretty impressed.

We are now in the boat and it has stopped raining, the sound of the rain tip tapping on the boat has been replaced with cows mooing.
